1pkt Chillie bite mix
1 Large onion ,finely chopped
2 Green chillies chopped
2 Eggs beaten
5ml Fine koljana powder
5ml Fine jeera powder
5ml Chillie powder
2 Meduim potatoes, dice and cooked
salt To taste
Oil for deep frying
Mix onion, chillie and spices well together. Add egg and beat in well.
Add chillie bite mixture and blend well. Lastly stir in potatoes taking care not to overmix.
Drop teaspoonful of batter into moderately hot deep oil.
Fry for couple of minutes till golden brown , remove from oil, and leave onto a double sheet of roller towel to remove excess oil.
Serve hot with a Dhunia chillie dip.
Omit the potatoes and add 1 of the following,
6 large size lettuce leaves shredded
1 small bunch spinach leaves shredded
1 bringal[egg plant] cut into slices and dip into batter
60 ml of tamarind left in water and add pulp to batter mixture
30 ml lemon juice
1 bunch of fresh chopped dhunia leaves.
2 large potatoes sliced in circles and steam, dipped into batter. [Serve as a accompaniment to main meal]
