Naseema Hassan was admitted as an attorney in 2000 and established her own practice under the name and style of N Hassan Attorneys in 2003.
Our practise covers various areas of law, including civil litigation, property law, evictions, drafting wills, Islamic compliant wills and drafting leases and agreements.
Naseema Hassan, however, has a special interest in Family Law, with vast experience in all matters relating to children in both the Children’s court and High court, Hague Conventions, Adoptions, obtaining consent for the relocation of children (where one parent refuses to provide consent), drafting parenting plans, mediating parenting plans, etc.
In addition, we draft marriage contracts and ante nuptial contracts, attend to the dissolution of Muslim marriages, civil divorces, mediating divorce settlements, drafting settlement agreements etc.
Naseema Hassan has successfully completed a course in Muslim Personal law under the guidance of Sheikh/ Advocate Faaik Gamieldien at UWC in 2009.
In 2011 Naseema Hassan also successfully completed a divorce mediation course with LEAD in association with the Law Society of SA and she is qualified to mediate issues relating to the consequences of divorce.
