1 whole chicken, cleaned and washed
45ml freshly chopped garlic
10ml salt
80ml margarine
30ml paprika
10ml turmeric powder
60ml lemon juice
30ml coriander seeds, finely crushed
20ml crushed chillies
3 tomatoes, cut into wedges
fresh dhunia leaves, chopped for sprinkling
Method
Preheat oven to 180*C
Clean chicken and pat dry
Make a marinade with all the spices, garlic, salt and lemon juice. Smear oven chicken and marinade for 1 hour or overnight
Place chicken on oven tray and cover with foil. Place in oven and bake for 30min.
Cut tomatoes into wedges and bake for another 30min. Grill for 10-12min without until brown
Serve with rice and salads
