Lamb & Green Beans

A delicious way of simmering whole green beans in chilli sauce

45ml cooking oil

1kg lamb pieces, washed

3 medium onions, quartered

500g green beans, trimmed

45ml yellow mustard seeds

30ml crushed garlic

2 red chillies, chopped

5ml sugar

10ml paprika

3 whole peppercorns

10ml sesame seeds

10ml jeera powder

30ml lemon juice

salt to taste

Sauce

15ml cooking oil

45ml soy sauce

45ml honey

15ml lemon juice

Method

– In large pot, add oil and brown meat until tender, about 25min, over low heat, adding little bits of water if necessary.
– Remove from pot and leave aside.
– Add onions and beans and stir fry for 8-10min.
– Add all other ingredients to pot and stir fry for 2-3min
– Toss in meat and heat through.
– Add sauce.
Serve with sweet yellow rice

To make sauce: Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour over meat and veggies and stir fry well.
